Robert Mather is CEO and Founder of Mather Professional Services, LLC. A behavioral scientist with expertise in social cognition, attitudes, persuasion, stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination, he has served as an expert witness. He has authored over forty peer-reviewed journal articles and four books, including The Analysis of Variance: An Integrated Approach to Experimental Design.
Since 1999, Mather has consulted for clients that include law firms, small businesses, universities, professional and collegiate athletic teams, start-up companies, private investors, banks, physicians, health care organizations, and law enforcement agencies. He served two years as the Vice President of Development for the Hancock Consulting Group where he developed clientele and business strategy, worked on grant development, program evaluation, and Office of Human Research Protections federal compliance. He previously worked in sales for three years at the corporate showcase store for Golf USA, Inc., in Oklahoma City, OK. He served as chair of an Institutional Review Board with Federalwide Assurance. He completed the Latino Higher Education Leadership Institute of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities and has served as a judge for the OKCine Latino Film Festival since 2020.
During his 20-year career in higher education, he served as a tenured full professor and associate dean at a large university, as the first CEO of a start-up academic journal that has been in operation since 2005, and as President of the Oklahoma Academy of Science. He regularly taught courses in statistics, research design, neuroscience, industrial-organizational psychology, and social psychology. He has been interviewed by Fox News, CNN, The New York Times, and The Atlantic.
